Florida Metropolitan STEM Continuum: From College to Career by Florida Consortium | Aug 9, 2019 | Videos | The Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities, a partnership between Florida International University, University of Central Florida, and University of South Florida received a $1.5 million grant from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to support the Florida Metropolitan STEM Continuum: From College to Career program. For 18 months, faculty from FIU, UCF, USF, educators from regional community colleges, and business leaders worked together to minimize barriers to persisting in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields of study. They identified untapped career readiness opportunities with faculty and alternative ways to prepare students for the workforce.
