By the numbers

 

Together, Florida International University, University of Central Florida , & University of South Florida have increased bachelor’s degree production by 10.6% or 5,498 additional degrees than forecasted in 2014.

Degree production increases can also be found in an 8.1% increase in first generation degrees, 8.0% increase in Pell eligible student degrees and 17.2% increase in minority student degrees awarded per State University System of Florida performance metrics (2016- 2017).

 

Better together

The Consortium started as an idea between three presidents in 2013 and now we have an estimated 50,000 clock hours dedicated by Florida International University, University of Central Florida, and University of South Florida faculty and staff. We have also reached beyond our campuses.

Working together we have:

  • Increased performance gains in state accountability measures
  • Secured grant funding to support important research
  • Developed diverse networks across discipline
  • Leveraged the latest in predictive analytics
  • Shared innovative teaching and learning strategies

Fueling Florida's Talent Pipeline

Teams at FIU, UCF, and USF have leveraged labor market data to help learners succeed as they matriculate and prepare for rewarding careers.

The Florida Consortium with support from our partners Burning Glass Technologies and EMSI have and will continue to produce knowledge sharing events, workforce/job market related reports, and other 
thought pieces on higher education's role in economic development and long term impact.
